About Still House Art

Still House Art is the website for the artwork of Heather Whitehead. Heather is an artist and activist, and has lived and worked in the Jingletown Junction neighborhood in east Oakland since 2000. Her works focus primarily on politics, war, poverty, the human condition, emerging technologies and urban landscape.

Heather regularly participates in East Bay Open Studios, the Jingletown Art Fair and the annual Jingletown Holiday Art Walks. She has also participated in several group shows, including an exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California.

Heather has a healthy obsession with pigeons and baby doll parts, a big yellow dog and a rapidly growing son. She does not like long walks on the beach, and thinks romantic candlight dinners are for sissies.

Heather received her BS from the School of Hard Knocks.
